Terms of Use
1. General
1.1. These Terms of Use govern your use of the Learn with Leo mobile app for iOS and watchOS, and the services connected to it.
1.2. The app is published by JET CREATIVE LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 07591183, registered office: 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, England, W1W 5PF. Contact: contact@jetcreative.co.uk.
1.3. The app is distributed solely through the Apple App Store, operated by Apple Inc. and its affiliates (“Apple”). Downloading and using the app is additionally subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes).
1.4. By using the app you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the app and delete it from your device.
2. Definitions
- App — the Learn with Leo iOS app, together with the Apple Watch app and the home screen widgets.
- We / us — JET CREATIVE LTD, company number 07591183.
- You — the person using the app.
- Consumer — a user acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession, as defined in the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- Free version — the features and material available without payment.
- Subscription — the paid, automatically renewing access to the full content of the app.
- Content — the flashcards, quizzes, explanations, images and other study material in the app.
3. What the app provides
3.1. The app helps you revise professional accountancy qualifications — AAT, ACCA and CIMA — using flashcards, quizzes with answer explanations, spaced repetition, an exam mode and progress statistics.
3.2. The free version opens the first section of every course, with no time limit and no payment required.
3.3. A Subscription unlocks every section of every course, all quizzes and flashcard decks, unlimited tags, and material added while your Subscription is running.
3.4. The app needs no account with us and asks for no personal details. Your progress is stored on your device and, if you choose, synced through your own iCloud.
4. Technical requirements
- a device running iOS 16.0 or later (Apple Watch app: a watchOS version paired with a supported iPhone; widgets: iOS 17.6 or later);
- an Apple Account with access to the App Store;
- an internet connection to download and update Content — once downloaded, studying works offline;
- iCloud enabled on your Apple Account if you want progress to sync between devices.
5. Subscription, price and free trial
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Subscription name | Learn with Leo — full access |
| Product identifier | learnwithleo.monthly |
| Billing period | 1 month |
| Price | £6.99 per month (inclusive of VAT) |
| Free trial | 1 month for new subscribers |
| Renewal | Automatic, monthly, until cancelled |
| Payment method | Your Apple Account (App Store) |
5.1. The price shown in the app at the time of purchase applies. The price displayed by the App Store in your currency and storefront is the final price and takes precedence over any figure quoted for information elsewhere.
5.2. The free trial lasts one month and is available only to users who have not previously used a trial of this Subscription. During the trial you have full access and pay nothing.
Important: unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid Subscription and your Apple Account is charged £6.99 for the first full month.
5.3. If you buy a Subscription while a free trial is running, any unused part of that trial is forfeited, in line with Apple's rules.
5.4. Payment is taken by Apple from your Apple Account. We do not process or see your payment details.
6. Automatic renewal
6.1. The Subscription renews automatically for a further month unless it is cancelled.
6.2. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
6.3. Apple will tell you before any price increase takes effect. Continuing the Subscription after that date means you accept the new price; if you do not accept it, cancel before the renewal date.
7. Cancelling
7.1. You can cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings:
- open Settings on your iOS device;
- tap your name at the top of the screen;
- tap Subscriptions;
- select Learn with Leo and tap Cancel Subscription.
You can also manage subscriptions at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
7.2. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period to avoid being charged for the next one.
7.3. After cancelling you keep full access until the end of the period you have paid for. The app then returns to the free version; your study progress is not deleted.
7.4. Deleting the app does not cancel your Subscription. You must cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
8. Your right to cancel (14 days)
8.1. As a Consumer you normally have 14 days to cancel a contract for digital content bought at a distance, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
8.2. That right is lost once downloading or streaming of the digital content has begun with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose the right to cancel. Starting to use the unlocked content immediately after purchase constitutes that consent.
8.3. Because Apple is the seller of record in the App Store, send any cancellation notice and refund request to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We will help with information where we can.
9. Refunds and billing queries
9.1. All payments are handled by Apple. Refunds follow Apple's policy, at support.apple.com.
9.2. We have no technical means of refunding money taken by the App Store. Request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com.
9.3. Restoring purchases on a new device is free — use Restore Purchases in the app's settings. The Subscription is tied to your Apple Account, not to a device.
9.4. Nothing here affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if the digital content is faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality.
10. Licence and intellectual property
10.1. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and Content for your own personal, non-commercial study, on devices linked to your Apple Account.
10.2. The app, its code, interface, artwork, name and Content are protected by copyright and belong to us or our licensors.
10.3. You must not:
- copy, publish, distribute or resell the Content;
- bulk-download or scrape the Content;
- decompile, disassemble or modify the app, except as permitted by law that cannot be excluded;
- circumvent the controls protecting paid Content;
- share access to a Subscription with others, other than through Apple Family Sharing where it is enabled for this product.
10.4. AAT, ACCA and CIMA are the trade marks of their respective bodies. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by AAT, ACCA or CIMA. Those names are used only to describe the syllabuses the study material covers.
11. Acceptable use
You agree to use the app lawfully and in line with these Terms, not to disrupt the service or our infrastructure, and not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to Content or our systems.
12. Study material and what it is not
12.1. The Content is revision material. It is not an official syllabus, an approved textbook, a past paper, or a substitute for tuition from an approved training provider.
12.2. The Content does not constitute accountancy, tax, audit, legal or financial advice, and must not be relied on when advising clients or preparing statutory accounts or tax returns.
12.3. Tax rates, thresholds and standards change. We take care to keep the Content accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it matches the syllabus or the examinable legislation applying to your particular sitting. Always check the current syllabus published by AAT, ACCA or CIMA. Report anything that looks wrong to contact@jetcreative.co.uk.
13. Availability and changes
13.1. We aim to keep the app available at all times, but there may be interruptions — for maintenance, Content updates, or because of third parties such as Apple or our hosting provider.
13.2. We may develop, change and extend the Content and features. Changes will not materially reduce the features covered by a Subscription you have paid for without notice to you.
13.3. If we stop providing the service, we will give reasonable notice and let you use the period you have paid for or, where that is not possible, support a request for a proportionate refund.
14. Liability
14.1. We are liable for failing to provide the service with reasonable care and skill, and for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach.
14.2. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your statutory rights as a Consumer.
14.3. We are not liable for exam results, assessment outcomes or professional decisions taken on the basis of the Content, nor for use of the Content beyond its purpose as revision material.
14.4. We do not supply the app for business use, and we have no liability for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
15. Complaints
15.1. Send complaints about the app or its Content to contact@jetcreative.co.uk.
15.2. Please include what went wrong, your device model and iOS version, and — where relevant — the date and type of purchase.
15.3. We will acknowledge and respond within 14 days of receiving your complaint, to the email address you wrote from.
15.4. Complaints about payments, refunds and billing are handled by Apple — see section 9.
16. Personal data
How we handle data is set out in our Privacy Policy. The app requires no account, collects no data that identifies you, and contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software.
17. Users under 18
17.1. Users under 18 should use the app with the agreement of a parent or guardian.
17.2. App Store purchases made by a minor require the account holder's consent. A parent or guardian can enable Ask to Buy and purchase restrictions in Screen Time.
18. Changes to these terms
18.1. We may change these Terms for good reason — for example a change in the law, in the service, or in how payment works.
18.2. We will tell you in the app or on this page at least 14 days beforehand. Changes do not affect the price of a Subscription period you have already paid for.
18.3. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel your Subscription before it takes effect.
19. Disputes and governing law
19.1. We would rather resolve things informally — please email us first.
19.2. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
19.3. If you live in the EU, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence, and you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
20. Final provisions
20.1. Apple is not a party to this agreement. Apple has no responsibility for the app or its Content; any claim relating to the app is directed to us. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
20.2. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions continue in force.
20.3. A person who is not a party to these Terms has no right to enforce them, except as stated in clause 20.1.
